Philippine Transmarine Carriers, Inc. (PTCI), together with Seasapan Philippines, participated in the Cebu Maritime Expo (CME) 2026 at the IEC Convention Center. Organized by the One Maritime Group (OMG), the event runs from April 22 to 24 under the theme “Forging Forward: Shaping a New Era of Maritime Excellence and Industry Growth.” The expo was officially inaugurated by MARINA Administrator Sonia Malaluan, alongside Governor Pamela Baricuatro and key national and local officials.

A hub for collaboration and policy, the event has already made waves with the launch of the 1st National Shipbuilding and Ship Repair (SBSR) Convention, a landmark initiative aimed at unifying the local shipbuilding ecosystem. Adding to momentum, MARINA utilized the platform to announce critical relief measures for domestic shipping lines, including fee cuts and payment moratoriums to help the industry navigate volatile fuel prices.

While other activities were ongoing during this 3-day event, PTC and Seaspan booths accommodated hundreds of hopeful applicants eager to join world-class fleets. Jheanifhil Mendoza, coordinated and represented PTCI Cebu while Seaspan executives Captain Pritam Nihalani, Head of Fleet Personnel, and Captain Mihai Munteanu, Regional Crewing Representative, graced the occasion.

Supported by the Joint Manning Group (JMG), the active participation of PTC and Seaspan serves as a powerful testament to their commitment to nurturing Filipino talent and ensuring the Philippines remains a global leader in maritime excellence.

As the expo enters its final day on April 24, PTC and Seaspan continue to welcome maritime professionals looking to elevate their careers.
