PTC Group partners with MARINA for Day of the Seafarer Job Fair

Anchored on this year’s theme, “Carrying World Trade. Carrying the risks,” the celebration recognized the dedication, resilience, and sacrifices of the men and women who keep the world’s supply chains moving.

One of the key highlights of the weeklong celebration was the Day of the Seafarer Job Fair, organized by MARINA in partnership with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Association of Licensed Manning Agencies (ALMA) Maritime Group. The initiative aimed to provide Filipino seafarers with direct access to employment opportunities while strengthening collaboration between maritime employers and industry stakeholders.

PTCI, together with Seaspan and Jebsen-PTC, supported by the PTC Talent Acquisition Group (TAG), proudly participated in the job fair held on June 25, 2026, at the Rizal Park Hotel in Manila. The event drew more than 3,000 pre-registered applicants, including walk-ins eager to explore career opportunities with leading shipping companies. Among the participating organizations, the PTC Group’s booths became key destinations for aspiring and experienced seafarers.

PTCI and Seaspan collectively received over 500 applications, reflecting the strong interest of Filipino seafarers in pursuing careers with world-class fleets and organizations. Jebsen-PTC welcomed more than 400 applicants, reflective of the continued trust and confidence of seafarers in the company’s commitment to professional growth, welfare, and career development. Throughout the event, representatives from PTCI, Seaspan, and Jebsen PTC engaged directly with applicants, providing career guidance, discussing available opportunities, and sharing valuable insights on life at sea and pathways for advancement.

The strong turnout at the PTC Group booths reflects the enduring reputation of PTC and its partners as employers of choice within the maritime industry. It highlights PTC’s steadfast commitment to supporting Filipino seafarers throughout every stage of their careers, from recruitment and training to deployment, professional development, and lifelong engagement.
