On March 27, 2026, the PTC Talent Acquisition Group (TAG) once again demonstrated its commitment to developing future maritime professionals through another successful run of the PTC Masterclass at partner school Midway Colleges.

Designed for third and fourth-year students in Maritime and Cruise Ship Hotel and Restaurant Services programs, the session served as a platform for bridging academic learning with real-world industry experience. More than a lecture series, the PTC Masterclass reflects PTC’s mission to invest in early talent development—equipping students with the skills, mindset, and confidence needed to thrive in the global maritime industry.

The session focused on professionalism, safety, communication, and global readiness—key competencies students must begin to develop early. Benjie M. Bautista opened the program by highlighting its role in aligning education with industry demands, followed by Lyndel Imbang, who shared insights on cruise industry opportunities.

A key highlight was the session of Mark Philip Laurilla, who emphasized safe, respectful, and inclusive shipboard environments, including gender equality and harassment prevention. Hector Manuel Brizuela also underscored the importance of communication, situational awareness, and conflict resolution in ensuring safety at sea.

In his closing remarks, Andre Toribio encouraged students to stay focused and committed, reminding them that their efforts today will shape future opportunities. A message from Sabino Czar Manglicmot II further reinforced the importance of discipline and academic readiness as foundations for maritime success.
