The Filipino Association for Mariners’ Employment, Inc. (FAME) formally inducted its Officers and Board of Directors for the 2026-2027 term during a ceremony held on February 10, 2026, at the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) in Mandaluyong City. Among the newly inducted officers was Capt. Ronald SJ Enrile, Senior Adviser of the PTC Shipping Cluster, who serves as Board Secretary for FAME.

The induction rites were led by DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac, who served as the inducting officer. In his message, Sec. Cacdac emphasized the vital role of industry associations such as FAME in shaping responsive policies and advancing initiatives that safeguard and promote the rights and welfare of Filipino seafarers. He likewise highlighted the ongoing initiatives of the DMW and maritime stakeholders to further strengthen the protection, professional development, and global competitiveness of Filipino seafarers.

The ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter in FAME’s continuing mission to serve the Philippine maritime community. The newly inducted leadership is expected to provide clear strategic direction and strengthened governance, steering the Association toward enhanced operational excellence and sustained industry engagement.

Further to the induction and oath-taking, the occasion also served as a courtesy visit with the DMW Secretary, during which key concerns affecting the sea-based sector were discussed.
