The PTC Talent Acquisition Group-Pipeline Engagement Programs (TAG-PEP) successfully joined and participated in the Department of Education (DepEd) CALABARZON Regional Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off at Pacita Complex 1 Integrated School on June 3, 2026.

PTC TAG-PEP team, led by Program Manager Hector Brizuela, with Lead Program Officer Josh McCarver, Program Associate Chloe Balmaceda, and Project Office Crystal Lopez, activated a booth setup featuring RISE Program for Safe Schools and Sea Mariners in solidarity with the activity.

Brigada Eskwela is the annual activity in all DepEd schools encouraging partners and stakeholders to join and participate in helping prepare, rehabilitate, and/or repair school equipment and facilities prior to the return of the school year. This year, DepEd CALABARZON’s regional kick-off activity was hosted by DepEd Schools Division Office of San Pedro City, Laguna, which is officially PTC TAG-PEP’s partner through the RISE Program for Safe Schools and Sea Mariners Program.

All 24 Schools Division Offices (SDO) of DepEd CALABARZON attended the kick-off activity, with each SDO stationed in each of the schools under DepEd SDO San Pedro City to conduct Brigada Eskwela activities and help prepare the schools for the return of classes on June 8, 2026.

DepEd SDO San Pedro City Officer-In-Charge Schools Division Superintendent (OIC-SDS) Mr. Phillip B. Gallendez expressed his utmost gratitude for the participation and support of the PTC RISE Program and PTC Sea Mariners in the Brigada Eskwela 2026 Regional Kick-Off. “On behalf of DepEd SDO San Pedro City, we are privileged to be the host of this year’s Brigada Eskwela Regional Kick-Off, and we deeply appreciate the support of our partners, particularly PTC RISE Program and PTC Sea Mariners, in making this activity more meaningful. Our partnership will now be introduced to our fellow DepED CALABARZON colleagues, and we hope to inspire them to explore collaborations in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Maritime Youth Development.”

PTC TAG-PEP Booth showcased the RISE Program for Safe Schools, where a Master of Disaster (MOD) Board Game was displayed, which captured the curiosity of the DepEd CALABARZON delegates. RISE DRR Manual entitled “Ano ang Dapat Gawin sa Panahon ng Sakuna?” was also distributed to the delegates, giving them quick information on what to do in times of hazards and disasters. RISE Keylace was also distributed to the delegates who successfully registered using the online QR Code.

PTC Sea Mariners showcased an interactive and unique “Velcro Dart” activity, where DepEd CALABARZON delegates who successfully target the bullseye win Sea Mariners merchandise.
