The PTC Group, through its cruise and maritime recruitment arms—PTC Cruise, MSC Cruises, and RCM—took part in the Bayanihan para sa Balikbayang Manggagawa National Reintegration Network (NRN) and Job Fair, an initiative led by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) in partnership with the Quezon City Government. Representing The PTC Group at the event was Ms. Karen Avelino, Executive Director for Business Development for Shipping and Senior Vice President of Cruise Operations, who joined in support of the program’s mission to help returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) access meaningful livelihood and employment opportunities.

The Job Fair, held last April 6 at the Quezon City Hall, brought together thousands of returning OFWs and their families, offering access to government services, reintegration programs, and employment support designed to help them rebuild sustainable livelihoods at home. Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte highlighted local initiatives such as livelihood assistance, legal support services, and the e-habilin program for OFW dependents, while DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac reaffirmed the government’s commitment that no Filipino will be left behind, alongside key messages from various national agencies, including TESDA, DTI, OWWA, DepEd, DOH, DICT, and DSWD.

As part of the event, PTC Cruise, together with MSC Cruises and RCM, engaged with OFWs and job seekers by showcasing global career opportunities within the cruise and maritime industry. These pathways provide returning OFWs with the chance to build stable, international careers while leveraging their skills and overseas experience. The participation of The PTC Group reflects its continued commitment to nation-building by supporting Filipino seafarers and OFWs in accessing dignified and sustainable employment.
