The PTC Group brought together Global Maritime Professionals (GMPs), employees, and maritime cadets for the PTC Group E-Sports Mini Tournament, organized by the PTC FCR team as part of PTC’s National Maritime Week 2026 celebration.

With the qualifying rounds held on September 23, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament featured teams representing different PTC Group companies and partner maritime schools. The activity provided an opportunity for participants to connect beyond their usual work and training environments while building teamwork and camaraderie through friendly play.

The participating teams included Team Monkey Business, Red Blaze, PTC Cruise, UMMS PH, Ugland Boyz, Engine Warriors PMMS, and Team WBC, along with other participants in the qualifying rounds.

These teams were comprised of GMPs and employees from across the PTC Group, including PTC GMPs from Komaya, MSC Cargo, Wallenius, DSSM, TOS, Seapeak, Ugland, PTC Cruise, and Jebsen PTC’s VV Cruise Services and UMMS; and employees from PTCI, Jebsen PTC, PTC Shipmanagement, and Smartpark.

The tournament also welcomed the next generation of maritime professionals, with Engine Warriors PMMS representing Philippine Merchant Marine School (PMMS) and Team WBC representing West Bay College. The two schools were invited to participate by the PTC Talent Acquisition Group (TAG) through the PTC Group’s partnerships with both maritime institutions, providing their cadets with an opportunity to connect with PTC Group GMPs and employees in a fun and engaging setting.

After the qualifying rounds, Engine Warriors PMMS and Team WBC advanced to the Championship Battle held on September 25. The tournament concluded with the awarding ceremony, where Team Engine Warriors PMMS was declared champion. They were led by Team Captain Joseph Daban, Jr., with teammates James Rogelio Sayson, Angel Carl Ty, Russel Jay Espartina, and Janfie San Mateo.

More than an e-sports activity, the tournament gave GMPs, employees, and cadets a chance to connect, work together, and enjoy some friendly competition.
