The PTC Group, represented by CEO Gerardo Borromeo, Executive Managing Director Christina S. Manzano, and Special Projects Manager Hadassah Gabrielle S. Balor, welcomed Ms. Johanna Diwa Acallar, the newly appointed International Maritime Organization (IMO) Regional Coordinator for East Asia, along with the team of the IMO Regional Presence Office for East Asia.

Located at First Maritime Place in Makati, the IMO Regional Presence Office for East Asia serves as the Organization’s regional hub, bringing IMO’s technical cooperation and support closer to Member States across the region.

The establishment and strengthening of IMO Regional Presence Offices form part of the Organization’s updated approach to technical cooperation, ensuring that support is responsive to the needs and priorities of countries in each region. This includes providing tailored assistance to Least Developed Countries and Small Island Developing States.
IMO Secretary-General Mr. Arsenio Dominguez emphasized the important role of the Regional Presence Offices, describing them as the “face of IMO in the field” and a bridge between the Organization’s global priorities and the realities of its Member States.
