
The Filipino Shipowners Association (FSA) strengthened its leadership for the year ahead with the induction of its 2026 Officers and Board of Trustees on March 12, 2026, held at Lanson Place, MOA Complex in Pasay City. The ceremony, officiated by former Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonio T. Carpio, gathered key leaders from across the Philippine maritime sector, reaffirming FSA’s commitment to advancing the country’s overseas shipping industry.

Among those taking on key roles, PTC CEO Gerardo A. Borromeo continues to serve as FSA Vice President, underscoring his ongoing contribution to shaping industry direction and policy. Joining the FSA Board are distinguished leaders from the PTC Group: Vivian Cristobal, COO; Karen Avelino, Executive Director of Business Development for Shipping and Senior Vice President of Cruise Operations; and Capt. Ronald SJ Enrile, Senior Adviser of the PTC Shipping Cluster. Their appointment reflects PTC’s strong presence and active role in driving collaboration and excellence within the maritime community.

Comprising 28 shipping companies engaged in overseas trade and maritime-related activities, FSA plays a vital role in promoting professionalism, strengthening partnerships, and supporting the continued growth of the Philippine shipping industry.
